Ever wonder what would happen if someone tossed a giant paper bag of catnip in with the tigers at the zoo? Wonder no more. The first big cat isn’t too interested, but stick with the video. It’s a crack up to see big cats act like a catnip crazed house cat.
Here it is. I present incontrovertible, caught on video, proof positive that “Da Bird” is one of the ultimate toys in the known universe. Two good friends came to visit us, and their dog, Ivy, wanted to play with Da Bird. Seriously. Check this out.
Nanook’s mum sent me a video some time ago of her unwrapping her new kickstick from my etsy shop. Many thanks for the video! I love how the d-o-g comes up, has a look at the cat toy, and then decides the frisbee is the far superior choice.
Cornell’s Cat Page
I just watched all the cat-themed videos on this website. I couldn’t help myself. From how to successfully give a cat a pill to brushing their teeth, this website has it all. It’s professional quality, and easy to follow.
Fritz The Brave
This website about feline asthma is the single most useful website on this subject I’ve ever come across. It’s up to date, comprehensive, and easy to understand.
XKCD: Cat Proximity
This webcomic by Randall Munroe is a little too close to home. Who isn’t guilty of this? I really, really want a print of this comic to frame.
The video below one of the funnier cat/human games I’ve seen. What a smart cat!
This is a common sight at our house. Travis found a great bird feeder that fastens onto the window with suction cups. It’s been up for about a year, and so far no birds have actually flown into the window. Success! I can’t say the same for the cats, though. Oswald plasters himself to the window repeatedly. It’s a riot.
Travis handily caught a video of one of the birds that has just as much attitude as Oswald. I guess this went on for close to five minutes.
That bird knows a housecat when it sees one. “I’m in no danger.”
Oh, and we also have a couple feeders in a tree, where the birds can eat without hassle.
