Ten Things Maggie Does That Drive Me Bananas:

1. The biting. She loves to bite me unexpectedly. LOVES it. LIVES for it.
2. Her bloody-minded stubbornness.
3. Her tendency to hiss and growl at the slightest discomfort.
4. She can be a real crankypants.
5. Maggie is the only cat I’ve ever met who can lie. She’ll come up, all friendly and happy, tail held high, all in the hopes that she’ll manage to convince a stranger to pet her. Then she strikes like a snake. People persist in not believing me, and wind up scratched. I have no sympathy for those who don’t heed my dire warnings.
6. She’s a counter shark, and we’ve not been able to come up with anything to discourage her foraging.
7. She loves to make out with shoes and dirty clothes. Ew.
8. Her tendency to try to get out of the house.
9. The “naughty cat fee” we frequently get at the vets.
10. She’s the most persistent cat I’ve ever met, especially when it comes to dairy.

1. Her bloody-minded stubbornness.
2. How sweetly she curls into my arms every night, purring.
3. I love that she growls at the postal carrier.
4. She’s bombproof. Almost nothing unnerves her. She actually runs towards anything in the house that’s potentially scary.
5. She’s always game. New box? Awesome! Let’s find out what’s in it. Car ride? Sure! New toy? WHOO!
6. It’s always worth it to her to ask for what she wants. She might get it.
7. She’s a clown.
8. When she’s really, really happy, she acts kind of drunk – all staggery, purry, and drooly.
9. She stands up for what she wants, no matter what.
10. The has the most melodious purr, like she ate an orchestra.
